At one with Nature
Lake Rifflsee sits at 2.220m elevation – a natural gem and probably the most beautiful Lake in the high Alps.
Departure point is the
village of Mandarfen, which lies
at 1,600m behind the Pitztal Valley, where you can also park. You can effortlessly overcome the 615 meters with the comfortable 6 person gondola lift. The top station, combined with a restaurant and terrace is at an elevation of 2,300m. It’s possible even for seniors, small children and handicapped people with wheel chair to reach the Lake Rifflsee mountain experience
in just 8 minutes. Enjoy a stroll on the delightful trail around the lake, or hike along the Fuldaer Höhenweg Trail to the Taschachhaus Cabin. Scan the horizon with a
panoramic view of the ice covered 3.000ers of the Ötztal Valley Alps and upon the massive glacial edge of the Taschachferner.

The summer walks along the trail around Lake Rifflsee (approx.1 hr. walking) is also no problem for families and senior citizens.
